The Edmonton Oilers are getting a couple key pieces back for an all-Canadian showdown.
Forward Zach Hyman and goaltender Devon Levi have both been activated from the injured list for the showdown against the Vancouver Canucks, the team announced ahead of the Saturday Night Hockey matchup (Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. ABT).
Hyman has been on the IL since Oct. 26 after suffering a neck injury in a shootout loss to the Detroit Red Wings. He took a hit from Detroit defenceman Andreas Englund, hit his head on the glass and needed assistance leaving the ice
The 34-year-old has had a trying year so far, missing a chunk of the start of the season with an upper-body injury, and went back on the IL only five games after returning from that initial issue.
In six games this year, Hyman has one assist and carries a minus-one plus-minus.
Levi, meanwhile, last suited up for Edmonton on Oct. 22 in a win over the Carolina Hurricanes. He has missed the Oilers' last seven games with an undisclosed injury.
Prior to going down, Levi had taken over the starting duties in the Oilers' net during the club's hot start and posted a 6-1-0 record through his first seven games of the season. The 24-year-old also owns a 3.11 goals-against average and an .887 save percentage.
Despite their absences, the Oilers have fared well this season, sporting an 11-3-3 record, good for top of the Pacific.
